Scandinavia has rapidly upped it's fashion game in recent years and with international labels such as Acne cementing the cool, clean aesthetic, it looks set only to get bigger. This year for the first time during London Fashion Week, Scandinavian countries will present established and up-and-coming designers in an exhibition at Somerset House. 'Fashion Scandanavia' will include more than 40 labels from Denmark, Norway and Sweden and promises to give a fresh look at Scandinavian cool.

Ahead of this, as avid buyers of Scandi Fashion talent, we hopped over the channel to Copenhagen Fashion Week to see if we could spot the next big thing on their home turf. Our best find was Mads Norgaard with their cute take on knitwear. A new label to us and to the UK, set to hit our stores in A/W 13.

While in Copenhagen we had the pleasure of attending the 10 year anniversary show of our long standing label, Malene Birger. Set in the beautiful Royal Danish Theatre, the queen of Danish fashion wowed us with her 70's themed collection featuring flowing silk pants and wide brimmed hats which exuded sophistication and elegance when combined with the luxurious fabrics and monochrome palette. The after party was definitely one to be remembered, with a feast fit for a king and intoxicatingly high spirits, we joined in the celebrations to mark 10 years at the forefront of Danish fashion!
